About
The Talking Sea is a tone poem written by Taylor in 2009. It depicts a scene in which a ship is lost amongst the stormy seas at night. Horns call out for help but no one is around to help or save the ship. The crew eventually makes it through the storm and reach shore by sunrise, when everything clears up. This work has been described often as a "cinematic" piece.
