About
Piano Sonata No. 1 was written for pianist Derek Bownds. Taylor heard Bownds play Debussy's "Reverie" and was so impressed that he instantly started writing the sonata. It is a very classically influenced piece, with only the second movement showing some modern touches.
The piece is in three movements with the following names:

III Presto
