About
The two poèmes were written in October 2010 for French soprano singer Stefanie Rafaello. Taylor heard a recording of Rafaello singing, which inspired him to craft this composition especially for her. Texts are taken from two poems by French poet Francis Jammes. The two songs in this cycle include:
