About
Etude was written for friend and pianist Ricky Ruiz. Ricky attends the conservatory of music in Malaga, Spain. The work is based upon arpeggios, similar to Chopin's Etude No. 1. Taylor wanted to give Ricky something not really meant as a concert piece but as something to improve dexterity. It is a very short work being only about two minutes long.
