About
The Bassoon Concerto No. 2 was written for Berliner Philharmoniker's principal bassoonist Daniele Damiano. Taylor took it upon himself to write 2 concertos for this instrument back to back. This bassoon concerto is scored for a very small orchestra and is much more intimate than no. 1. As with the 1st bassoon concerto - the bassoon part requires a lot of stamina and virtuosity to carry out the piece successfully.
